I have witnessed that if any of our practitioner tries to heal beyond his ability, he would be sent to a hospital. Brother Hua Ming has also mentioned such a case in our Wednesday session.

In other words, an enlightened Master is capable to relieve generations of karma. Yet as some master in Taiwan took on more than he can handle, he would fall ill. Perhaps that is the reason, our Teacher called this practice in Japan "withered Zen" or life-less Zen.

Such incidents in Japan created huge community-karma, they will suffer for many generations, such as lost of spirituality, atomic bomb tradegy, etc.

I have lived in Japan and worked with the Japanese for thirty years. I found on the average, that the Japanese are less joyful than the Americans. They often looked moody and cloudy and rigid and reserved.

Why?

Hi French,

I hope these information strengthens your commitment to dig down deep and find the truth.

Instead of asking what is enlightenment, perhaps it is easier to witness your personal connection with other practitioners on a one to one basis.

After you personally witness the existence of some karma related to health, and witness some of the karma related to events, then you would know there is no escape from karma. Karma is not a concept. In our school everything can be witnessed. Or in our everyday language, verified. Jessica, Huan or Andrea can help you to reach this stage.

An enlightened teacher's job is to help his disciples to be liberated, which is exactly what our teacher does so often. Liberation is not a mental concept. In the karmic sense, it is an energetic process.

Do deepen your practice. Ask questions. As you reach deeper and deeper, guidance will be provided for at the right time.

Perhaps now, you may begin to realize that we were a bunch of fortunate ones, because we accidentally fall into the right school. Or was it due to our previous life, that we were the chosen few.

If the latter, then let us be grateful and commit ourselves.

I recall that the Master talked about translation at the airport.
Once he saw a simultaneous interpreter on TV with resembled facial expression as the speaker.
This reminds me the little girl's translation in the move "Spanglish"
Anyone remembers that scene?
