Sitting Chan Class

Develop and cultivate our internal Qi (pronounce Chi) to enhance our health, to calm our mind, to be in touch with our spirit are the three basic steps to unify our body, mind and spirit, as well as surpass these three realms.

Meditation is about absolute detachment, these techniques we teach are merely steps to prepare our body to a healthy state. Try it thirty minutes daily for three months, then judge yourself.

The first thing we need to learn is to breathe correctly. After our body learned to breathe properly and automatically, we need to detach these techniques from our mind. Then, as our next step, we can move on to learn to channel our Qi to our chakras and energize our organs.

Only after our internal Qi is automatically flowing without hindrance through out our entire body, then we can sit through long hours of meditation without being distracted by physical discomfort.

If you were taught with Soto Zen, Pali or traditional Buddhist meditation, use Heart Chan technique to supplement your breathing meditation first. Then continue with metta meditation or "just sit". You shall experience more effectiveness.

In Heart Chan, we teach Sitting Chan in order to reach absolute state of Purity - purity of mind, body and spirit. When we reach the Purity stage, we are one quarter the way to enlightenment.

  • Motion Chan Class  ( 3 items )

There are 36 motion zen exercises to prepare our body for Sitting Zen.  These exercises are simple and can be practiced by all ages.  These exercises are most effective if combined with belly breathing.

We teach these exercises in Drug Rehabilitation Institutes in Taiwan with good results. The objective is to rid off the "dirty Qi" in our body.

If you have addiction issues, do each exercise until really sweating.  Take a shower.  Then meditate for at least thirty minutes every morning.  You shall witness its effectiveness.
