Consummation means taking action to let our physical and mental self to be harmonized with the universe.

It is our nature whenever we encounter a problem, we build a wall to protect ourselves first.  So that the problem stays outside our wall and we are protected from it on the inside.

This also holds true when we encounter a problem inside our wall.  Therefore as we encounter more problems, our wall becomes taller and the space inside becomes smaller.

As our space becomes smaller, we become more protective by convincing oursevles that the rest of the world is at fault and we are the only ones that are right or that we have been treated unfairly.  In these kind of situations, often we can not think otherwise. Our ego is delicate and our mind becomes a tool for rationalization.  In essence we continue to excuse ourself for hiding away from reality.

How do we get out of such situation, then? How do we surpass? The question in reality is what to surpass.  How can we surpass without an object?

Therefore the first step is to knock down the wall and face the problems.  It is these problems, that we have isolated ourselves from, which need to be surpassed.

After we face the problem then we are no longer focus on the pain it caused us. We can then share half of the problems with others.  We can then resolve it.  We can then surpass it.  To get it out of our mental anguish.

As more problems being resolved, or consummated, we are awarded with bigger space to live in.  This the reward is casued by the willful sharing the suffering of others, or compassion as Dalai Lama called it.

Therefore, consummation is the key to liberate ourselves from the jail we built for ourselves.  Calm down and facing reality without being affected by our ego, is the the first step to consummation

As our practice deepens, we shall experience that consummation in reality is carrying the karma of others.

As our practice deepens, we shall experience an increase in our internal life force and wisdom as we continue to take on more karma of others onto ourselves. In turn we consummate with  the purpose of our journey and our  existence.

As our practice deepens, we shall witness the true meaning of "merit". We know then it is not just a word or a record.

As our practice deepens, we witness.
