The benefit to Chan are many. Health is the first benefit many of us have already heard about. Since Heart Chan practices are well-influences by Daoist pratices, it is even more effective. As you know Daoists are the ones who developed herbal medicine in China and accupuncture which is well-practiced by the medical industry in the US. Heart Chan meditation teaches us how to fine-tune the Qi of our body along the similar energy routes similar to accupuncture.
Through our practices, anyone who practices dilligently can channel the internal Qi(pronounce Chi) through the three energy routes and clean up all ten Dharma Wheels (Chakras in Sanskrit).
Immune system could be enhanced. Blood pressures could be lowered. Depression and anxiety could be reduced. Sleeping quality could be improved. Suffering from gaut, IBS, migraine, etc. etc. have all been witnessed by our pratitioners.
Mentally, deep breathing and meditation helps Chan pratitioners to become less agitated over accidents. Be able to accept different mind set of others as well as readily understand the hangup of others. It enables us to carry out multiple points of view and perspectivess. Relationships improve. Become less defensive. In turn, when the mind is not in defensive mood, there is secretion of thyroidal hormone, testosterone, etc., body becomes healthier.
