The fourth Dimension of Spirit or Divinity, is an integral part of the universal wisdom  When we reach this level, we are synchronized with the universe and merged as one.  This is a state of truly liberation.

Many people have an erroneous view of Chan meditation because they believe that Chan is simply sitting there quietly.  That is, however, only the form of Chan meditation and not the essence.

Sometimes they question why they do not feel anything after having meditated for a long period of time.  The answer is because they have not reached wisdom, therefore, cannot sync with nature or interact with any universal beings.  That’s why they are where they are and do not transcend.

The Dimension of Spirit or Divinity Is Filled With Light and Electricity

Most of us recognize only the "physical self" but do not realize that there is also a "spiritual self".  Sitting Chan aims to combine the external "physical self" with the internal "spiritual self" into one.

It is an outside to inside process.  It is from the first dimension to the second dimension and to the third dimension.  It is to dissolve the notion of our "physical self" as well as the control of our consciousness, and overcome the karmic hindrance of  our sub-consciousness, then we are able to reach into the fourth dimension - the dimension of spiritual self.

Before arriving at the fourth dimension, we need to have our pure Qi be converted it into Innate Qi, then transformed it to Spiritual Qi, and then Spiritual Light. At the end, we will enter into a world of light.

To reach this world, we need to transcend our biological body. Then transcend our mind. It is not easy to accomplish this.  Detach our mind from all forms is a good first step.

We live in a world of shapes and form. If during meditation, we could completely detach ourselves from all the forms, zero out our body and mind, then our body would feel weightless.  Due to our enhanced visual sensitivity, some of us may even "see" what our naked eyes could not. Or may even have the ability to predict the future.  If we ever reach this level, it is already some accomplishment.

Beginners to Sitting Chan must learn to surpass the first dimension – dimension of biological self.   Begin by learning how to breathe correctly, that is to change from chest breathing to belly breathing.

Then practice the act of focusing and unifying the spirit.   If we are able to focus  effectively and at will, not only we could then more easily enter into a deeper state of meditation, or Chan Ding, we could also finish our daily chores with higher efficiency.

Heart Chan uses simple instructions and illustrations to guide the readers one step at a time, starting with just breathing technique, from overcoming the first dimension of the physical body, to elevating the body, mind and spirit into the realm of pure spirit beyond time and space. Find our future, where we originally belong.
