The following are references I talked about at the retreat. 

In the USA, the following familiarity are recommended. So that we could utilize their work to bridge over to our supreme dharma.  After all, the universal wisdom is one and all. Please click on each link to learn more.

• Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher from Germany, well backed by Hollywood stars and Oprah Winfrey.  Instead of "karma", he uses "pain body" in his book, "The Power Of Now."
  
• Dr. Wayne Dyer is a speaker backed by PBS.  His book of "The Power of Intention" is very spiritual.
• The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis is the spiritual practice close to Mysticism in Christianity.
• The Gospel of Thomas is excluded from the Bible. It said, "anyone can be Jesus". The Gnostic of early Christianity is also quite spiritual and not accepted by main stream Christians.
  
• Alan Watts is a major contributor of the Asian studies to the west.  He said, "ego is like an inch and an hour."
• "The Geography of Thoughts" by richard Nisbett
  
• "Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor.  Harvard trained neuro-scientist had a stroke
  

明朝憨山德清禪師嗟嘆，『皆曰本出某宗某宗，但以字派為嫡，而未聞以心印心。』

憨山德清禪師語出自《卍續藏經》卷127，頁501，＜焦山法系序＞一文。

傳燈所載諸祖法系，惟以心印相傳，原不以假名為實法也。

嗟乎！禪道下衰，真源漸昧。自達摩西來，六傳曹溪，一法不立。及五宗分派，蓋以門庭設施不同，而宗旨不異。及宋而元，燈燈相續，至我明國初，尚存典型，此後宗門法系蔑如也。以無明眼宗匠故耳。

其海內列剎如雲，在在僧徒，皆曰本出某宗某宗，但以字派為嫡，而未聞以心印心

近代聖嚴法師的先師東初老人也提到，『近世叢林所謂傳法，不在於心法而在於傳承寺主方丈的位子。』

聖嚴法師語出"聖嚴法師禪修精華"系列第三本"法脈"頁135，在"聖嚴法師法脈"的<臨濟宗鼓山系>一文中。

禪重傳承，故於那年九月，先師東初老人到紐約訪問時，請示能否得其曹洞法脈的傳承，他老則說剃度弟子與傳法弟子有別，而近世叢林所謂傳法，不在於心法而在於傳承寺主方丈 的位子。

在失傳五百年後的今天，我們的師父 悟覺妙天禪師，因緣殊勝，獲得了佛祖的『佛心印』。在戰亂平息之後，社會穩定的今天，禀告眾生將以『佛心印』正法相傳，這是個佛教界的大震撼，與當年達摩始祖到達中國的大環境無異。

我們的宗師，悟覺妙天禪師，就是在這麼複雜的環境中，弘揚世尊的正法。宗師所能遇到的挑戰與艱難，我們是都可以想像得到的。

有人問，那我們又如何能分別佛心印的真偽呢？答案只有一個-- 真修實證。

不出一兩年，我們都能夠親身見證。完全不需要盲目的崇拜。
