For more than fifteen years, Heart Chan has hosted one annual retreat each year and all of them have been amazing experience. This year (2016) is even more special because finally we had a retreat center of our own and we hosted retreat 2016 in Heart Chan’s East Regional Retreat Center in Ellijay, Georgia.
More than one hundred people from all over the world came to this amazing place that all Heart Chan practitioners now call home. Chamber of Commerce of Gilmer County sponsored a ribbon cutting ceremony during the retreat to welcome Heart Chan into local community.
Amazing lights during ribbon cutting ceremony.
This year’s theme is “Harmonize”. Not only we had wonderful programs for adult participants, also, it’s a blast for kids too.
Morning exercise, the Eight Segment Qi Gong Exercise (Ba Duan Jin).
Sitting classes, where the wisdom and light is shared.
Standing and walking meditation.
Moon meditation between heaven and earth.
Children’s program includes yoga, calligraphy, meditation, focus training, Taichi and Chinese Kong Fu, hiking, music classes, etc.
Serving food: a combination of southern food and Chinese buffet with a vegetarian option.
